THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF WEST MICHIGAN
Before passing away, the store owner's husband, Steve, loved working for McDonalds so much, that despite his illness he continued to work until the last two weeks of his life. Steve spoke frequently of how wonderful the company was to work for, and how dedicated they were to serving those in need. He was particularly excited about the new Ronald McDonald House being built in Chicago, which now has a bench dedicated to his memory.
Now, in honor of Steve, My Sweet Peony always has a box for collecting Pop Tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan.
The Children's Assessment Center
My Sweet Peony also supports the Children's Assessment Center, whose mission is to assess and support child victims of suspected sexual assault and educate children and the community to prevent such assaults.
Recently we used our workshop space to make colorful coasters, created by our staff and store customers, to benefit the organization. As we schedule future events, we will provide more information on our Facebook or through our newsletter. Stay tuned to see how you can help!
